DVC 2016: The Making of Chi
The Dance Video Collection (DVC) was an anthology film series created by Marc that transformed live dance performances into cinematic stories.
After directing and choreographing the stage production Chi, he wanted to preserve the story in a different way. Rather than simply recording the performance, he sat down with members of the A/V Club to reflect on the experience, the friendships they built, and what the production meant to them.
The result is a film that celebrates the people behind the performance as much as the performance itself. It captures the personality, emotion, and community that make dance unforgettable, while showcasing the cinematic storytelling that Marketing Movez now brings to dance studios today.
